Our boarding facility is capable of keeping pets comfortable and safe while their owner is away. Many of the animals we care for are in need of special medical attention not normally found in local boarding facilities.

Multiple levels of care can be arranged for allowing us to provide for all levels of boarding care. All areas are climate controlled and have natural light through multiple skylights throughout the facility. Clean, stress-free accommodations with attention to individual pets make our facility in high demand. (Reservations are recommended for holiday periods).

Our cage and run enclosures allow us to give each pet a large space, comfortably equipped and regularly monitored. Each dog is in an enclosed run area 4x10x6 feet high. In addition they are regularly taken to our large outside patio for exercise and diversion. We strive to make your pet as comfortable as possible while they are out of their normal home, and return them safely to you minimally stressed.

BOARDING

Berkeley Dog & at Hospital offers comprehensive boarding and bathing services for both dogs and cats.  While your pets are vacationing with us, they sill enjoy uncompromising facilities.  With our 24-hour emergency facility, you can rest assured knowing that a veterinarian is on the premises at all times in case your pet needs these services.  Heated and air conditioned areas are provided, as well as a private outdoor exercise patio for canine residents.  These facilities, along with the warmth and compassion of our professional staff, promise to make your pet's stay at Berkeley Dog & Cat Hospital the next best thing to being home.

TO MAKE YOUR PET'S STAY SPECIAL

AT Berkeley Dog & Cat Hospital, every pet is a V.I.P. (Very Important Pet).  While staying with us, your pet will be lovingly cared for by our dedicated kennel attendants and animal health technicians, and will be pampered with healthful food ( Science Diet), plentiful snacks, clean living quarters and cozy rugs to curl up on.  And your pet will be loved and stroked and played with, each and very day.

Because we want to protect the health and safety of every pet who stays with us, our technicians will provide your pet with a routine hospital exam upon admission for boarding.  They will examine your pet's eyes, ears, nose, teeth, hair, skin and nails, and record their body weight and temperature.  If abnormalities are noted, a technician will contact you or you will be instructed o make an appointment with your veterinarian  Your pet will also be fitted with a hospital identification collar, so we ask that you take their leash and collar with you.

GETTING TO KNOW YOU

If your pet is new to us, it is important that our veterinarians become familiar with their medical history and evaluate their general health by conduction a full physical examination prior to your pet's boarding with us.  Our receptionists will be happy to schedule an appointment for a preboarding exam.

VACCINATIONS 

Proof of current vaccinations is required for all pets staying with us.  Rabies and DHLPP inoculations are required for dogs, and PCR inoculations are required for cats.

PERSONAL ITEMS

We have learned from experience that most dogs and cats staying with us actually show little interest in personal items.  Because we don't want your pet's belongings misplaced, we ask that you leave such items home.

We offer three types of boarding services to meet the special needs of your pet.  In addition to the amenities listed, the first night of boarding involves a thorough examination by an animal health technician

Standard diet of Science diet dry and wet foods fed once daily

SPECIAL SERVICE

Special diet and/or three three medications administered up to three times daily (food and medications provided by you)

Two exercise or play periods per day

Rug or blanket placed in your pet's accommodations

Half price bath upon request, four-night minimum

Special tender loving care and animal treats provided

*if additional medications are needed, or if they must be given more frequently, hospitalization is required. 

*Additional charges for diabetic boarders

DELUXE SERVICE

Drop Off & Pick up Boarding Hours

Monday -Friday 7:00am to 6:00 pm

Saturday 8:00am-1:00pm

There will be a $39 fee for drop offs or pick ups during our emergency hours.
