Dr. Barbara Wood
Dr. Wood has lived in various regions of California but has always considered the Bay Area her home. She received a bachelor’s of science degree in Animal Science at the University of California, Davis. After taking a year off to gain more experience in the veterinary field, she was ecstatic to be able to return to UC Davis for veterinary school. While in veterinary school, she was an officer and active member in several clubs/organizations including the Feline Medicine Club, Surgery Club, and Mercer Clinic for Pets of the Homeless. Once she graduated, she completed a rigorous one-year rotating internship in the east bay before joining Berkeley Dog and Cat! Dr. Wood is Fear Free Certified and will always advocate for your pets’ wellbeing.
When she’s not working, she and her husband enjoy exploring various parks and trails in the greater bay area, watching scary movies (if you have any suggestions, she will be eager to hear them!), playing video games, and doing puzzles. Her home currently houses a spoiled three-legged cat named Dinah and a sassy red-eared slider named L3-37.
