Care for Birds, Reptiles & Mammals in the Berkeley
At Berkeley Dog & Cat Hospital, we provide routine and preventive care services for your exotic pets. Exotic pets can also be seen for medical or behavioral concerns.
- Wellness & Preventive Care
Just like dogs or cats, birds and other exotic pets benefit from regular veterinary care to help them live long and happy lives. Our specialist is trained in the unique husbandry and care needs of these animals.
During our initial appointment, we will thoroughly review your pet's housing care and nutrition. A complete and thorough physical exam will also be performed on your pet. Health screening tests and vaccines will be discussed and recommended when indicated. Our veterinarian will discuss any husbandry, health, or behavior concerns with you and answer any questions you might have. Recommendations will be tailored to the needs of your pet and their family.
- Sick Pet Appointments
If an exotic pet is having health or behavioral concerns, they can be seen by our veterinarian as well. If it's possible, call ahead of time at (510) 848-5041 to determine availability. While we accept walk-in and work-in emergencies, there may be additional fees if double booking occurs.
Our hospital is fully equipped to meet the needs of critically sick birds and other exotic pets. Our Emergency Care services are staffed by a team of veterinarians, registered veterinary technicians, and support staff.
